Centrally based in Leicestershire, Coles Nurseries are one of the largest growers of trees and shrubs supplying the UK landscaping market. The company continually invests in its’ production facilities year after year. Over the past 12 months, Coles have expanded their Container Tree range to increase capacity and maximise future growth potential. The new site will expand to house 30,000 trees in the next two years, allowing a wide range of premium tree varieties to be potted into 45 litres, up to heavy standards, producing a superior tree available all year round.

The unique Pot-in-Pot tree range has expanded with increased annual demand, providing larger trees (up to 5m) for UK planting and landscaping projects. The trees are potted and placed into a similar pot sunken into the ground. This provides a cool, secure, stable and well-irrigated growing environment and produces a consistently higher standard tree.

Spanning multiple sites across the East Midlands, the bed and protected production of container-grown shrubs and specimens amounts to over 2 million plants in over 400 varieties, including over 80 different climbing plants. Over 600 varieties are propagated in-house with over 1.5 million cuttings processed each year.

Coles are committed to a comprehensive programme of environmental and waste management projects and their award-winning 10-million gallon reservoir renders the main production site (over 110 hectares) self-sufficient in water usage.

With over 100 staff working over 190 hectares of production land across Leicestershire, Coles are ideally situated to serve the UK with hardy nursery stock for commercial projects and planting schemes in the public realm.
