Kent County Council have
recently taken delivery of the
first Grillo FD 1500 Pro to arrive
here in the UK. Kent Fleet
purchased two FD1500 last year
to maintain verges and public
areas around Kent and were so
impressed with their
performance that an order was
placed for a further machine.
The new Pro version has been
further enhanced with the fitting
of a 44hp Yanmar engine giving
30% more power and 35% extra
torque. This increased power
allows cutting and collection at a
much higher speed even in the
worst conditions with tall wet
grass. The engine itself is
mounted on new dampers to
reduce vibration and noise levels
for operator comfort.
With the new optimized weight
distribution the machine is more
stable on slopes with increased
grip reducing the number of
times the diff-lock is needed. A
fully certified ROPS structure is
also available.
