A-Plant, is the first national rental company in Europe to be recommended for dual certification to both the ISO 14001:2004 standard and OHSAS 18001:2007 specification covering health and safety and environmental procedures. A-Plant is also the first major player in the European hire industry to achieve certification that covers the entire scope of the company’s operations encompassing more than 150 A-Plant depots and all of the company’s administration centres.


A-Plant’s Director for Environment, Health and Safety and Performance Standards, Douglas McLuckie, said: “Our approval for certification to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 covers both our health and safety and environmental procedures, a unique situation in the international hire industry. This provides us with a significant advantage in the marketplace as well as providing us with a certified platform to further enhance our current risk management processes.”
