Royal Troon Golf Club in Ayrshire, has just bought its first HPX 4x4 Gator utility vehicle from John Deere dealership Nairn Brown in Glasgow.

Co-deputy course manager John McLachlan is pictured with the new machine. “We’ve had Gators on loan in the past for The Open Championship and other major events, but we’ve not bought one before now,” says John. “It will be used primarily as a support machine on the driving range in the summer, with its own collector hooked on the front. “in the winter we will also be able to use the Gator for various light transportation and materials handling duties around the three courses. This was one of the reasons we chose the Gator, as it offered us more flexibility.”
