Capel St Mary Bowls Club made the switch from a domestic mower to a Dennis Sport pedestrian cylinder and club secretary John Wright says that it has been a highly worthwhile move.

Having chosen the 56cm (22in) cut Sport, John has been most impressed with the results.“We have had so many comments on the improved condition of our green. The Sport has made such a huge and noticeable difference. It is a heavier machine which flattens and rolls the ground as well as mowing, giving a very impressive finish,” he explains, adding, “A comb assembly on the front of the mower lifts the grass ahead of the blades, giving an even cut. This is very important for bowls as the condition of the ground and the grass significantly affect the game.
