THE ‘CENTER’ OF ATTENTION
A stunning Otterbine fountain has become the focal point of the Watersports Lake at the Center Parcs holiday village in Elveden Forest, Suffolk. “We are always looking to improve the site and make it even more enjoyable for holidaymakers,” comments the site’s general manager, Wayne Matton. “The lake is the focal point of the village, so we decided it was the ideal place for a fountain. It looks superb and keeps the water clean as well.”
The 10hp Orion aerating fountain features a two-tier spray pattern comprising a vertical column that can throw water 6.7m high and a 17.4mdiameter fan spray. Center Parcs needs to regulate the force of the water in order to compensate for blustery conditions and so the fountain is configured to speed up or slow down in response to wind speed.
