The way we quite happily treat our Countryside as a large refuse bin, (river courses with bushes and trees at the waters edge bestrewn with plastic bags and sheets, hedgerows acting as long stops for all manner of airborne waste paper. Town and Cities with gum blotched paving and litter filled centres each weekend) yet we would claim to be fond of our countryside and proud of our Towns. To this end Amberol have introduced to schools their Talking Penguin (bin) and a small recycling bin. The two together can form the basis of an interesting and instructive lesson to children on tidiness and recycling. The Penguin is fitted with a voice box and programmed to deliver any chosen message “Thank you for feeding me your litter” or whatever message enthuses the children to deposit their litter and keep their space clean, recycle their cans and those items which can be reused.
