NEW APPOINTMENT UNDERLINES JAPANESE KNOTWEED CONTROL’S GROWTH IN THE SOUTH
Leading treatment specialist, Japanese Knotweed Control has expanded its team in
the south and south east with the appointment of Sven Janssen (34).
Sven joins the company's London office with
responsibility for delivering treatment programmes for its growing number of
public sector and private clients experiencing knotweed problems.
Sven, from North London, has worked in the
horticultural sector for the past ten years, initially involved in a number of
conservation projects overseas, before returning to the UK. He previously worked
with Japanese Knotweed Control's regional director for the south and south east,
Dee Laverty and, as her workload increased with a number of London borough
council projects, Sven was delighted to join the business as a full time
treatment specialist.
Following comprehensive training in the
treatment methods for non-native invasive plants, including the company's
innovative stem injection technique, Sven is now involved in the hands-on
delivery of treatment programmes throughout the capital and beyond. Although
local authority work accounts for most of the company's business in the region,
domestic projects are increasing, particularly amongst home owners looking to
buy or sell properties with a knotweed problem.
Commenting on this latest appointment joint
managing director David Layland said: "We opened our London office last year in
order to more effectively service our growing amount of work in the capital.
Through referrals and recommendations our name has become increasingly
synonymous with successful treatment programmes throughout the south east and
this is reflected in our expansion of the team with the recent appointment of
Sven."
