new fuel injected ATV, the MXU500i IRS, comes packed with a wealth of

The
MXU500i IRS is a multifunctional utility ATV for sports, leisure and
professional use, and has been designed to tackle the most arduous of
off-road terrains with ease. It is powered by KYMCO’s fuel
injected 499cc liquid cooled DOHC four cylinder engine, which
provides an unfailing supply of power with high torque in low rpm.
In unrestricted mode, the powerhouse, which weighs in at 335kg,
boasts a maximum power of 35.5Kw @ 6000rpm (47 bhp) and can reach
over 50mph.
KYMCO's
Automatic CVT transmission with low, high, neutral and reverse gears
make the MXU500i IRS easy to operate too, by putting instant power
and torque to the maintenance free final drive shafts.
The
switch-able 2WD / 4WD also provides increased traction and added
stability under power, and is supported by the class leading
independent rear suspension system to help smooth out the ride. The
machine’s auto locking front differential will also be of great
benefit when negotiating difficult terrain.
Fully
equipped for utility work, the MXU500i IRS comes with a front winch
and rear tow hitch with 600kg capacity, extended wheel arches and a
front bumper for impact protection. Sturdy front and rear equipment
racks are also included, and the
large dual-purpose tyres – 24x10-12
rear, 24x8-12 front – give a substantial 20cm of ground clearance.
Other
features include a 17 litre fuel tank, front and rear disc brakes,
electric and pull start, fully enclosed footboards, foot brake,
digital display, twin halogen headlights, and alloy wheels.
Like
all KYMCO ATVs, the MXU500i IRS is also fully homologated for road
legal use and can be registered
as a Private Light Goods Vehicle. It can also be registered as a
Special Concessionary Vehicle if used in an agricultural /
horticultural / forestry environment, and benefit from zero-rated
Road Fund Licence. Plus, being
Euro 2 emission compliant, means
that compared to traditional off-road quads it provides increased
fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower noise levels.
